There are no rules!

Which is probably one of the things that makes stuffed peppers so much fun to make!

What Type Of Peppers Are Best For Stuffing?

Any pepper that is large enough can be suitable for stuffing.

However, I think when people discuss stuffed peppers, the pepper that comes to mind is the traditional bell pepper.

It’s natural that bell peppers are the classic peppers to stuff.

Bell peppers are large, have insides that can be easily scooped out, and are rigid enough to hold almost and type of stuffing!

Or would the stuffed peppers be the side? Hmm…

3. Asparagus Spears

Give your stuffed peppers a bit of Mexican flair by pairing them with a nice, chunky salsa!

Spanish Meatballs (Albondigas) from PlatingsandPairings.com

I would have never thought of these Spanish Meatballs (Albondigas) without a little bit of inspiration from Erin’s awesome What To Serve With Stuffed Peppers article.

But now that I think about it, this side-dish makes a lot of sense.

After viewing Erin’s recipe (linked to above), these Spanish – or Mexican – meatballs seem like the perfect side to serve with stuffed peppers.

Albondigas are what folks from Spain and Latin American countries call meatballs.
