Refreshing Mint Juleps

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 10 minutes

What You Need:

  • 4 tall drinking glasses
  • 12 ounces of bourbon
  • 4 tablespoons of syrup (2 tablespoons water/ 2 tablespoons sugar)
  • 12 large, fresh mint leaves
  • crushed or cubed ice
  • 4 mint springs for garnishment
  • 4 drinking straws

What You Do:

  1. Muddle 3 mint leaves and 1 tablespoon of syrup in the bottom of each glass.
  2. Fill each serving with ice cubes or crushed ice.
  3. Add 3 ounces of bourbon to each glass.
  4. Top each drink with a mint sprig and serve with straws.

Easy Sangria

Servings: 10 (4 oz) glasses

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Chill Time: one hour in refrigerator

What You Need:

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red or white wine
  • 2 ounces triple sec liqueur
  • 2 ounces brandy
  • 2 ounces orange juice
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • sugar syrup (2 ounces, made from sugar and water: see below)
  • lemon slices
  • lime slices
  • orange slices

What You Do:

  1. Prepare sugar syrup by boiling 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Combine all liquid ingredients in a pitcher. Stir well.
  3. Place fruit slices on top.
  4. Add ice to chill.
